The ANU Bicycle Cooperative provides a space for community involvement and inclusion. We are not a bicycle shop and do not sell brand new bicycles. We’re way too popular for our own good, so there’re delays surrounding getting a bike that suits you. Please be patient, we have other priorities and jobs to do besides providing bikes (for example, we try to get people with disabilites included into the community).

Please feel free to come and use the space and tools, and you can ask other people for advice.

The ANU Bike Co-op is a joint venture between three groups;

LEAD Development (previously known as Community Programs Association) is an organisation aiming to find meaningful work and training for young disabled people. The bike coop is just one project which helps to integrate them into vibrant existing communities. It’s volunteer work for them and just some good clean fun.

ANUgreen provides environmental management and strategies for sustainability for ANU on campus to reduce it’s environmental impact.

The Environment Centre sustainable development for the Canberra region. It also is an education and information center for all things green.
